Privacy Policy
Plain terms about what WeighHere collects (not much) and how hosting works.
Overview
WeighHere is an independent directory of public scales. This site does not require accounts, logins, or personal data submission. We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information.
Analytics
We may use web analytics to understand traffic patterns and improve the directory. Any analytics service used respects standard Do Not Track settings and does not sell visitor data. If you block JavaScript or use privacy extensions, the site works fine.
Hosting
WeighHere is hosted on Netlify (weighhere.netlify.app) and served via Cloudflare for the public domain weighhere.com. Both services process standard web server logs (IP addresses, user agents, requested URLs) as part of delivering pages. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Netlify's privacy policy: netlify.com/privacy.
Cookies
WeighHere does not set cookies. Cloudflare and Netlify may set security or performance cookies as part of infrastructure. These are not tracking cookies.
Third-party links
This site links to Google Maps, operator websites, government databases (CDFA, Caltrans, ADOT), and CAT Scale. Those destinations have their own privacy policies. We do not control their practices.
Affiliate links (future)
When affiliate links go live for U-Haul, Amazon, Tractor Supply, Camping World, or other programs, clicking a link may pass a referral identifier to the destination. That is how affiliate programs work. See Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
Data requests
Because WeighHere does not collect visitor accounts or personal information, there is no user database to request deletion from. If you have questions about how a listing was compiled or believe a listing incorrectly references you, contact ahalvor@gmail.com.
Changes
This privacy policy may be updated as the site evolves. The last-compiled date (16 Sep 2026) reflects the current site build. Material changes will be noted on the About page.
